The solely electric Audi SUV has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The all-electric Audi E-TRON SUV concept is an exciting insight into the pioneering expertise developed during the development of the R8 e-tron. The Audi e-tron quattro concept uses three electric motors to provide a powerful and dynamic driving experience.
Designed from the ground up as an electric car, the Audi e-tron quattro concept follows Audi’s “Aerosthetics” concept. This concept utilises technologies such as moveable aerodynamic elements on the rear, sides and front of the car, as well as a completely closed underbody, whilst the exterior mirrors have been replaced by cameras.
The adaptive air suspension sport, featuring controlled damping, lowers the body to reduce drag. The Audi e-tron concept also has a balanced axle load distribution, creating a low centre of gravity. Such elements of this innovative SUV allow it to achieve a drag coefficient of just 0.25; a new record in the SUV segment.

This concept SUV promises a potential range of 310 miles, far more than any other electric SUV before. The e-tron concept contains a large lithium battery, integrated into the floor of the passenger compartment which, thanks to the Combined Charging System (CCS), can be charged with AC or DC electrical current. A full charge with a DC electrical current at a charging point with an output of 150kW takes just 50 minutes approximately. The dynamic all-wheel steering of the Audi e-tron concept enables stability and manoeuvrability even at low speeds.
The e-tron concept has a spacious interior for four people and a luggage space of 615 litres. The driver can take advantage of the Audi virtual cockpit curved OLED, a further development of the virtual cockpit.
