All-new Audi Q7 receives the maximum five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test
The results for adult protection in frontal and side impact collisions, pedestrian protection and child safety put the current Q7 among the safest cars in its category.
Audi is famous for its mechanical prowess, and when it comes to safety it’s no different. With the establishment of the Euro NCAP consortium in 1997, safety was clearly highlighted as a core requirement of any modern car. Audi has clearly followed this mantra, producing its all-new Q7 to the highest safety standard possible, without sacrificing any of the Audi performance and luxury which the brand typifies.
The generous interior provides a space which is guaranteed to offer optimal protection to its passengers. The results for the rear passengers in a frontal collision have illustrated that not only are the driver and front passenger in the all-new Q7 exceptionally well protected, the rear passengers are too. Receiving also the “Euro NCAP Advanced” award for its multi-collision brake assist system and the Audi Pre-sense City system which automatically tightens seatbelts before a collision and closes the windows and sunroof, it is clear Audi places maximum value on advanced safety measures. Benefiting both passengers and pedestrians, Audi’s Pre-sense City system also observes other road users at speeds of up to 52mph, anticipating collisions to help save the lives of occupants and other road users in the process.
Highlights of the all-new Audi Q7 safety measures:
- Pre-sense City with emergency braking function fitted as standard
- Driver, front passenger, front side, and curtain airbag system fitted as standard on all models
- Top marks in Euro NCAP crash test, receiving top marks for both active and passive safety
- Received the Euro NCAP Advanced award
